Happy Birthday Mark Iskander! Here’s everything we’re doing in your honor.
September is an important month at The Mark & Jacob Foundation. Especially because Mark’s fifteenth birthday is today, September 18th!
September 29th also marks four years since Mark and Jacob went to heaven. Here’s an update on everything we are doing to honor the boys’ legacy and celebrate their love.
The Mark and Jacob Foster Ministry
We are now licensed in Westlake Village under the name The Good Shepherd Family Services. We are working tirelessly to recruit families to foster youth in need throughout Ventura County. There is a great demand for families with a spare room and love in their hearts. We would love to answer any questions you might have, click here to BECOME A FOSTER PARENT. We are also so grateful for all of your DONATIONS which help us make this important mission possible.
The Mark & Jacob House for Boys
Meanwhile, The Mark & Jacob Orphanage recently welcomed Paula (age 4) to the house. The boys in the orphanage also recently had an exciting visit from His Holiness Pope Tawadros!
Upcoming Events
We are so excited to announce that there are no shortage of exciting events coming soon! Check out all of the wonderful things we have on the horizon. We are always looking for volunteers who would like to help out, sign up here to volunteer!
Other exciting events to look forward to…
This November, we are working with Ventura County Credit Union and James Storehouse to host an event for teenagers in Foster Care revolving around financial literacy. We believe providing them with education and resources will set them up for greater success in their adult lives.
In January 2025, in honor of Jacob’s birthday, we look forward to partnering with Raising Hope to host an event where Foster Care Youth will have an opportunity to bond with their mentors.
As always, we cannot thank you enough for all of your love and prayers during the last four years. God’s grace is present in all of your kindness and support.
Sincerely,
The Mark & Jacob Foundation
