On the Third Anniversary…

It’s been nearly three years since Mark and Jacob went to heaven and there is not a moment of the day where their laughter, joy, and precious faces are not greatly missed by their family, friends, and community. This week would have been Mark’s 14th birthday and this month would have marked the beginning of his freshman year of high school.

And while there is no shortage of heartbreak or tears, there has also been no shortage of resolve to keep Jacob’s strong faith and Mark’s generous spirit at the forefront of all our endeavors. Which is why this month, with God’s grace and our community’s generous support, we are so grateful to announce a new chapter for The Mark & Jacob Iskander Foundation: The Mark & Jacob Foster Care Agency.

It will serve our local community here in Ventura County, by pairing loving and dedicated families with foster children. We believe every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment where they can grow to reach their full potential and we are grateful to have this opportunity to make that possible for children in our area! The office will be located in Westlake and we look forward to beginning this service of love in the coming weeks.

The family appreciates your continued support in helping to build Mark & Jacob’s legacy of service and kindness. They cannot begin to express their thanks to the community for the outpouring of love, generosity, and most importantly, prayers over the past three years. It has meant more than you can imagine.

On September 29th, 2023, our community is banding together to celebrate the lives of Mark and Jacob Iskander with a walk to commemorate the anniversary of their departure to heaven.
